George E. Kelley, Jr. passed away on December 20, 2022. He was born in Wilmington, Delaware on October 23, 1938 to George E. Kelly, Sr. and Harriett Czerwynski Kelley, both of whom predeceased him, along with his sister, Patricia Kelley Lynch. George is survived by his wife Katrina (Katie) of the home. George is also survived by his five children: Kathleen Schneider (Karl), Kevin Kelley (Jodi), Jeramy Kelley (Tanya), Laura Beth Lawver (Derrick), and Alicia Kelley McGlone (Benson); his grandchildren; along with his nephew, David Bennett (Jane).

George graduated from Wilmington High School and the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School. He worked for 28 years for Getty Oil before retiring in 1985 to go into sales. He sold Real Estate in Oklahoma and Virginia, then worked for a car dealership for fourteen years before his final retirement.

George was a member of the Stephen Minister team at Virginia Beach United Methodist Church and the Rotary Club of Town Center.

He was outgoing and friendly to all and was especially loved by children of all ages. Besides spending time with his own grandchildren, he loved passing cookies out to children at church. He was a loving husband, devoted father, and a doting PopPop. His absence has left a void in all of our hearts, but we know God’s promises are true and we will see PopPop again.

A wake will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 pm. on Friday, December 30, 2022 at 757 Salt Meadow Bay Drive in Virginia Beach. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at Virginia Beach United Methodist Church.
