Portsmouth – Marian C. Arnold, 83, went home to be with the Lord. She was preceded in death by her husband Calvin C. Arnold.

Left to cherish her memory are her six children, James Arnold of Portsmouth, William Arnold of Portsmouth, Roger Arnold of Portsmouth, Paulie Zaring and spouse Mike of Norfolk, David Arnold and spouse Angelina of NC and Linda Meyers and spouse Leslie of Portsmouth; 7 grandchildren, Jennifer Finch and spouse Bubba of Suffolk, Melissa Johnson and spouse Charles of NC, Nathaniel Arnold and spouse Amanda of IN, Wade Arnold of NC, Theresa Lowe and spouse Todd of NC, Christina Runyon and spouse Brad of Suffolk and Abraham Shepherd of Portsmouth; 5 great-grandchildren, Tessa Finch, Camberly Finch, Lena Johnson, Tyler Johnson and William Runyon; and friends, Joyce Peters, Shirley Hopkins, friends of Leckie Street and the Bible study ladies and church family at Calvary Baptist.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 12th 6:30pm at Calvary Baptist Church 2117 London Blvd Portsmouth 23704.

We are so sorry for your loss. We sincerely wish we could be there to celebrate her life on Friday. My husband will be away this week in DC and I will be home with the kids. I am going to miss seeing her sitting out on her porch. Let us know if you need anything. Love, Rob and Kelly Oldt

I love you Marian Arnold. My favorite memories are when she came to see me when each of my children and Grandchildren were born She shared in my happiness and excitement. She was also there when I lost my dear mother Oct.18 2007. We also liked to sit on her porch and just watch the people go by.

Marion was one of the sweetest ladies I have ever known. She will be greatly missed by her friends at Calvert baptist church and her bible study group. She was a faithful Christian and loved her church and family. My husband and I will miss her. He loved to to lovingly tease her and she loved it. See you again someday in a better place.
