Roy Anthony Jackson as affectionately known as Tony Jackson was born on August 21, 1955 and transitioned to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday November 3, 2024.

Roy was a native of Hartford, CT.  He served in the United States Marine Corps and he moved to the Virginia Beach in 1991. For over 30 years Roy worked as a contracted commercial truck driver.  He truly loved seeing different places while playing an important role in the logistics field. In his spare time, he loved boating, fishing and collecting various types of watches. Tony had a sense of humor that always kept a smile on everyone’s face.

He is predeceased by his mother Doris Jackson, father Lionel Jackson Sr. and brother, Lionel Jackson Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Spanyuara Mason Jackson Portsmouth, VA; his children, Tonya Jackson, Waterbury, CT; Troy Jackson, Hartford, CT; Spanyanna Mason and Pharondus Clemon, Portsmouth, VA. His siblings, Arthur Jackson (Valerie) Washington, NC; Brian Jackson Virginia Beach, VA; Richard Jackson (Laura) Canton, CT; Felicia Jackson Fairfax, VA.

He was blessed to have a host of nieces and nephews along with six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The Celebration of Life memorial service will be held December 6, 2024, 11:30am at New True Vine Pentacostal Holiness Church 1048 Queen Street, Portsmouth, VA 24705.
