Hampton – Stacy Westover, 59, passed away on November 21, 2022. She was born on February 14, 1963 in Syracuse, NY, and grew up in Durhamville, NY. She is preceded by her father, Thomas Smith in 2010, and a number of other loved ones.
She attended Oneida Central Schools and received her Associates degree in Human Services at MVCC in Utica, New York. In her youth, she loved riding her horse, Cricket. Later in life, she found passion for scrapbooking and other crafts. She loved her family and friends with all her heart and would do whatever she could to help people. She also had a great love for animals and adored her dachshund, Cricket and cat, Finian.
She is survived by her mother, Carol Smith; her husband, Lawrence Westover; her son, Michael Beckwith and wife Crystal Beckwith; her daughter, Jennifer Strauss and fiancée Morries Briggs; her bonus daughter, Shanendowa Hunter and husband Joel Hunter; her brothers and sisters in law, Scott and Karen Smith and Steven and Margi Smith; and her grandchildren, Zachary Smith, Billie Doty, Damian Strauss, Anika Richards, Ethan Beckwith, Everly Beckwith, Gabrielle Elicky, Emery Beckwith, and Juliette Hunter.
A memorial service will be held for immediate family. There will be no calling hours or funeral held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Patient Advocate Foundation, 421 Butler Farm Rd, Hampton, VA 23666. Cremation Society of Virginia is handling the arrangements.
