Continue ReadingRobert E Taraskiewicz, 58, of Portsmouth Virginia peacefully passed away on August 22 2021 surrounded by his family . Robert was first and foremost a loving husband and devoted and proud father and grandfather. He was also a son, brother, uncle, neighbor and friend.
He loved trains and sports, he enjoyed his yard and was a self made jack of all trades, he could build or fix anything. He was a pipefitter an electrician, as well as a manager in the automotive field. He coached sports teams in the local area. So many people are left without his sarcastic witty demeanor and his strength.
Robert is survived by Mary his best friend and love of his life, his wife of almost 40 years, his children. Amber (Adam) Chapman, Ashley Taraskiewicz, and Joshua (Emily) Taraskiewicz, his grandchildren. Abrielle , Finn, and Evan Taraskiewicz, his siblings, Cindy Kennedy and Michael (Karen) Taraskiewicz, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends and family are welcome to join his family at an open house honoring and celebrating Roberts life on Saturday August 28th 2021 between 1 and 4 pm. 4208 Arlington Place , Portsmouth VA 23707.
