Ken was born in Pena IL. Ken was proud he lived in Champagne/Urbana close to the University of Illinois. Ken played Little League through Babe Ruth status with his brother Mike and his father as his team manager. Ken had fond memories of playing tackle football in his neighborhood court and enjoyed good friends in high school. In his younger years Ken worked as a paper boy and later in grocery stores. Ken attended a community college in Champagne.
In his early twenties Ken moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana. Ken enjoyed golf and playing racquetball even at tournament level. He worked in grocery stores in management positions. He began classes at Indiana Purdue Fort Wayne and graduated with a BS from Purdue’s school of business and management in 1992. Ken enjoyed watching Purdue football and basketball, especially when they won!
Ken met Sally in 1992. They enjoyed many great vacations, concerts, family visits and much laughter together. They moved to Dallas where Ken worked for GE Capital, then to Atlanta where he traveled as an Oracle software consultant. Then, to be closer to family, Ken and Sally moved to Virginia Beach when he began his work at ADS/Atlantic Diving and Supply as their Director of Oracle Applications. Ken was very proud of his work there where he customized oracle software to fit ADS needs. Ken enjoyed his ADS colleagues. Ken had an infectious laugh and, especially, loved sit coms and NCIS. He, also, enjoyed working in his home and yard, loved neighborhood get togethers, good meals, and loved being near the ocean.
Many hearts are hurting with the great loss of Ken in their lives.
