Barbara was born and raised in Henrietta, NY, near Rochester, the second of four siblings. After attending university at Bowling Green in Ohio, Barbara moved to Virginia seeking solace from cold winters. Virginia Beach had been her home since 1980.
Barbara was a mother to three children and six grandchildren. She will be missed by all of her family and friends.
Her family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to The Alzheimer’s Association.
A mass will be held at Church of the Ascension, 12/2/21 at 12pm. 4853 Princess Anne Rd. Virginia Beach, VA
A Celebration of Life will be held at Founders Inn from 3-5pm on 12/2/21. 5641 Indian River Rd. Virginia Beach, VA All are welcome to attend either or both.

Dear Duesberry Family,
Shaylyn and I both are very saddened to learn of Barbara's passing. She was a true guardian angel and God send to us, when we most needed it. As Shaylyn's daycare provider and then alternate daycare for so many years, we felt her love. She was so kind and caring, Shaylyn always enjoyed being there, even as often times the oldest. I cannot remember a time when Shaylyn did not want to go to Miss Barbara's. And I always felt comfortable taking her. I always marveled at how clean the house was, with so many little ones always there and coming and going. I still can't keep my house to those standards! Shaylyn is now 19 years old, and was truly upset when I told her the news. Please accept our sincere condolences. Debbie Scher
