Kelley A Lane, 30, born November 30, 1990, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 12th, 2021. Kelley was born and lived in Brunswick Maine as well as Maryland while her father was in the Navy before permanently residing in Virginia Beach. Kelley was a childcare provider and worked for LifeNet in Virginia Beach.
Kelley is survived by her parents Thomas and Barbara Lane. Sister Casey (Lane) Byrd, brother Thomas Z. Lane, grandmother Edeltraud Smith, aunts Patricia Simmons, Vera Buck, uncles Daniel Simmons and George Buck, cousins Ethan Simmons, William Buck and nieces Avery and Harper Byrd.
She is pre-deceased by her grandparents Thomas W. Lane, Josephine A. Lane and William E. Smith as well as her cousin Erin M. Simmons.
Kelley is known for her quick wit, wonderful smile, and sense of humor. As well as having an amazing knowledge of Jeopardy answers and being able to solve Wheel of Fortune puzzles. Kelley had three passions during her life one for her Lord, Boston sport teams especially the Red Sox and Patriots and for her two nieces.
Kelley was active in sports as a child and in church youth group. Kelley attended a YWAM (Youth with a Mission) for a six-month trip to Europe and brought back stories of how she saw the Lord working in her and in how she was able to serve others.
A celebration of Kelley’s life will be held 11am December 4th at Virginia Beach Community Chapel, 1261 Laskin Rd Virginia Beach VA 23451.
In lieu of flowers the family would ask that of a donation to the VBCC missionary fund in Kelley’s name be considered.
