Mandy Halligan, our beloved granny, was born to Bob and Mary Byford on Feb. 26, 1936. She lived life as granny to everyone she met and loved the role. Left to cherish her memory are her children Deanna (Frank), Cheryl (George), Vicky (Phil) and Carl, two siblings Punk and Buck (Marylou), 10 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren. She will also be greatly missed by numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, 8 siblings, Carl R. Halligan and her granddaughter Mandy Reis.

The Cremation Society of Virginia will be handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you share a smile with someone who may need it. You never know what that simple act might mean to someone else.
