Larry G. Jarrett Jr., 61 of Suffolk, VA (formerly of Washington DC) passed away on November 29th, at home, after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his long-time partner, best friend and love, Gayle Bush, who was by his side until the end.
Survived by his sisters, Dr Terry Jarrett Saunders of Washington, DC and Tonja Smith of Canal Winchester, Ohio. His nephew Belize Jarrett Saunders, his nephew John Bradly Bush 3rd, and his niece Mary Beth Reuwer. And many other beloved family members: Aunts, Uncles, cousins, great nieces & nephews and many friends both old and new.
He loved traveling, cycling, sports, good food, good music and good people. He was a special person with a generous free spirit. He will be missed by so many as he was a much-loved man with friends from all over the world. “The free soul is rare, but you know it when you see it – basically because you feel good, very good, when you are near or with them.” -Charles Bukowski
There will be a Celebration of Life Ceremony for Larry on Monday, December 13th at Hub 757 6801 Bridgeway Drive, Suffolk VA 23435. The ceremony will be from 1:00-2:00pm, followed by a reception/open house from 2:00-4:00pm
There will also be another celebration planned in Washington, DC in 2022, date to be determined.
