Lois Chen, age 63, peacefully passed on December 19th, 2021. A native to Florida, Lois lived most of her life in Virginia.

She is proceeded in death by her mother, Mary Cathrine Woodward, and father, Charles T. Spears.

An unbelievably strong-willed woman, my mother, up until her very last days never gave up no matter how hard life’s challenges seemed. She loved people unconditionally; always seeing the good in them verses the bad. She was always a hard worker, loyal, and diligent. Mom was also a very talented seamstress, loved to paint, make floral arrangements and do an array of different arts and crafts. She was loved by many and truly will be missed!

Left behind to cherish her memory is her daughter, Miranda Chen; her grandsons, Dylan Gibson, Dalton Gibson, and Kai Washington; her brothers, John Spears, Thomas Spears and Chuck Spears; her sister, Cheryl Lynn; an array of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins, including her beloved Donna Wencil; and lastly her dog, Stormie whom she adored and loved dearly.

The flood of prayers, comments and condolences from our friends, family, and even strangers has been overwhelming! We are truly grateful for all of your support!
