Nancy Fantone Owen, of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at the age of 89. A native of Norfolk, VA, Nancy was born to the late Joseph J.  Fantone and Dorothy Gimbert Fantone on February 8, 1932.

Nancy retired from Military Distributors of VA as an inventory analyst. Nancy was also a Past President of the Credit Women International Organization during her career. Nancy enjoyed knitting and crocheting throughout her life. Her beautiful handmade treasures are now enjoyed by her friends and family which she graciously gifted. Nancy was an avid bingo player and making her presence at the local bingo halls with her late sisters and mother was one of her favorite pastimes.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, John Kenneth “Kenny” Owen; sons, David Owen and Stephen Owen; and siblings, Shirley DiDomenico, Dorothy Parker, Patricia Zito and Joseph Fantone Jr.

She is survived by daughter, Nancy Stuart; sons, John Owen Jr. and Paul Owen; grandchildren, Kendall Stuart, Jennifer Owen (Nevin), Katie Owen (Coleby), Leigh-Anne Owen (Michael), Colby Owen (Sandy), Adam Owen; and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sister, Ida “Bootie” Roberson, and sisters-in-law, Linda Owen and Marilyn Fantone, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday January 6, 2022 at St. Pius X Catholic Church. A graveside blessing will take place at Rosewood Memorial Park immediately following the Memorial Mass. Family will then receive friends at the family residence.
