Billierose “Billie” Summers, 64, went to heaven on January 8, 2022. Billie was born on December 20, 1957 to the late William and Rosemarie Gorman, in Crawsfordsville, IN. Billie spent the majority of her life in Pungo and Virginia Beach, with brief military stints in Pensacola, FL, and Charleston, SC. Billie loved and lived her life to the fullest with all her family and friends. She gave all of her love to everyone without exception.
Preceding her in death are sons Ellwood ‘Pud” and Cliffton “Kip” Winburn. She is survived by her husband, Denver L. Summers, Jr.; Sons: Johnnie White (Michelle), Nathan Winburn, and Keith Krebs (Hyldie); Grandchildren: Olivia Abbott, Kayla Breshears, Cody Breshears (Kaylie), Natalie Southall, Haley Krebs, Erin Krebs, Kalysta Johnson, and Robert Bolsinger; Siblings: Pam Perry, Beverly Hemsath (Ray), Marsha Gorman, Lisa Gorman and Lance Gorman (Diane); Extended family: Sandra Strosnider, Kehyonha Baller, Stephanie Stephens, and Adam Bolinga; Her Best Friends, Rebecca and Richard Seltzer and their children, Stephanie and Steven and their families.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Amedysis Hospice, especially nurse, Luanne Bolden and Chaplain David Peterson, and the staff of Walgreens Pharmacy at Kempsville Road and Centerville Turnpike. Billie will remain in the home until her interment at a later date.
A Celebration of her life will be held at The American Legion 469 N. Battlefield Blvd, Chesapeake VA 23320 on 5 February, 2022 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. For those not able to attend in person, feel free to attend remotely by visiting Billie’s Facebook page to livestream.
