Cynthia Marie Knaggs, 60, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022, in Virginia Beach, Virginia at the Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital. Cynthia was born December 15, 1961, to the late Anthony John Messiano and Betty Ann Messiano at Providence Hospital located in Washington D.C. She was a graduate of Bladensburg High School in Bladensburg, Maryland.
Cynthia met the man she was going to marry, Steven Knaggs, in the seventh grade and later married him on September 9, 1983, at Brentwood United Methodist Church. Steven and Cynthia Knaggs moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia due to the relocation of United States Navy where Steven was enlisted at the time. The Knaggs’ union brought forth two children, Brian and Jennifer Knaggs. Cynthia was a devoted mother, and her heart was full of joy and endless amount of love.
“My mom was an angel on earth” described by her daughter Jennifer and her “best friend in the entire world” and her “other half and joy.” She loved decorating for the holidays, cooking and baking the most beautiful cakes and the most delicious cookies, going for long rides, laughing and enjoying life, and watching The Little House on the Prairie reruns with her daughter.
Cynthia is survived by her husband Steven Michael Knaggs, daughter Jennifer Elizabeth Knaggs, son Brian Michael Knaggs.
