Our beloved Carroll Claude Fulks passed away on May 4, 2022 after a 26-year battle with cancer. Carroll was loved as a husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, cousin, great uncle, friend, jokester, and storyteller extraordinaire.

Carroll is survived by Page Fulks, his loving wife of 48 years, his children Monica Fulks and Robert Fulks, and his grandson Nate Fulks. He was predeceased by an infant son Charles Madison Fulks.

Carroll was born July 26, 1950 in Norton VA to parents Claude Fulks and Jeannette Greene Fulks. He moved to the Williamsburg area at age 5.  He received an associate degree from Thomas Nelson Community College and then went on to work for the Department of Defense as a Mechanic at Cheatham Annex for 41 years.

His sister Johnnie Faris Riley of Rafine, VA and sister in law Cynthia Yoczik survive him. He was a favorite uncle of five nieces: Kimberly Faris Smith, Jill Faris, Carol Ann Yoczik Labbe and the late Janet Yoczik Gray and Tammy Yoczik Aston.  He was a great Great Uncle to a slew of grand nieces and nephews.  He is predeceased by his parents Claude Fulks and Jeannette Greene, his sister Judith Fulks Yoczik, and brother-in-laws Thomas Yoczik and Kenny Faris.

Carroll enjoyed hobbies including racing model cars, woodworking, tinkering in the garage, telling jokes, and chasing after Monica and Robert’s many hobbies where he was a Boy Scouts Leader, rec league softball coach, and 4-H groom.  He entertained all with his skill in telling stories where you never knew if it was real until the zinger at the end. He was happiest sitting on his back porch communing with nature, family, and friends.

The family will host a private memorial. Cremation Society of Virginia is handling the arrangements.
