James Dean Sr., 69, of Virginia Beach, VA passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 2, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Jim was born October 28, 1952 to William and Elsie Dean in Becket, MA and he was 1 of 13 children. He attended Wahconah Regional High School in Dalton, MA where shortly after he met his wife Norma of 52 years. After raising their family in Massachusetts, Jim and Norma moved to Pungo in 1996 where they have been residing since.

He was a man of many talents and could build anything with his own two hands. He always offered the best words of advice and was willing to help anyone he could.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Norma, his two brothers John and Steven Dean. His children, James. M. Dean Jr. of Pittsfield, MA, Patricia A. Portieri of Becket, MA, Pamela J. Lester (Paul) of Pittsfield, MA, and William H. Dean of Becket, MA. They opened their home to many friends and family, including Jessica, Ralph and Diane Jasmin who he loved like they were his own children. His 9 grandchildren Melissa (Rocco), Paul, Thomas (Amanda), Brandon, Chelsie (Allen), Jacob, Bryanna, Joseph, and Timothy, as well as 5 great-grandchildren, Harper, Hayley, Salvatore, Beckett and Sicilia.

Services for James will be held in his hometown at a date and time to be determined.
