George L. Bell, 48, Entered Through the Gates of Heaven on August 1, 2022.
George was born on May 3, 1974, in Waterloo, Iowa. He passed away at his home in Virginia Beach, Virginia with his family at his side. A celebration of life will take place later in Iowa.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother and stepfather, Mary and Frank Trebon; his life partner of 20 years, Brian Guild; two brothers, Nick Trebon and Josh Hagen; “The Apple of His Eye,” his nephew, Wesley Trebon; his father, Ronald Bell; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and his fur baby, Kaya.
George was a loving son, life partner, brother and uncle. He could always find something good in people. He was passionate about helping the homeless. He loved family gatherings, especially Christmas. He enjoyed showing everyone his funny Christmas hat that he created for the year.
George graduated from Salem High School, in Virginia Beach, Virginia and attended Tidewater Community College upon graduation from high school.
George was a long-time member of the American Quarter Horse Association, American Paint Horse Association, Palomino Horse Club, and many other organizations. He was a professional horse trainer and judge for over 25 years. He shared his love and knowledge of horses with adults and children of all ages. He loved watching the kids and horses he trained go on to be champions.
George also worked for Land O’Lakes in milk replacement research for 10 years and worked at Friendship Haven as a Certified Nursing Assistant for three years loving each patient he cared for.
