Renard Enrico Zottig, Sr. peacefully departed this life on Sunday, August 21, 2022, surrounded by his loving wife and soulmate of 60+ years, Sharon Ann, and his family. Renard was born on July 27, 1942, New York, NY to Manrico and Elsie Zottig and was the youngest of four children. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings (Manrico, Joyce, and Robert), along with his youngest son, Briano Alano.
Renard graduated High School in McLean, Virginia. He was well known in the community as an Entrepreneur/ and NoVA Campus Police Officer, and more prevalently for his involvement as a coach for 30+ years of many youth sports in the Sterling/Loudoun County area.
Renard was dearly loved and revered by his family, and friends. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Sharon Ann Geris Zottig, his daughter, Rebecca Maria and two sons, Renard Jr., and Scotti (and wife Cheri) along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and the extended (and adopted) Zottig family.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 to 5 PM on Saturday, September 24th at the Loudoun Elk’s Lodge in Sterling, VA (401 W. Holly Ave. Sterling, VA 20164). Prior to the celebration, a private ceremony will be held by the family.
