Nancy Carroll Blevins, age 82, passed to heaven on September 1st, 2022.
Nancy was born on July 15, 1940, in Whittaker, WV. She graduated from East Bank High School in 1958 and from West Virginia Tech in Montgomery, WV in 1964. She earned a master’s degree from Marshall University and made a career as an educator. She taught Business Education at Caroline County High School in Maryland and Gauley Bridge High School and Valley High School, both in Fayette County, West Virginia.
Nancy was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and a long-time member of the Boomer, WV congregation. She resided in Charlton Heights and Summersville, WV before moving to Poquoson, VA. She was an inspirational woman who shared kindness and encouragement with everyone she met, especially her students.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ileda Pritt; her brother, Myron Pritt; and her sister, Billie (Sue) Pritt.
Nancy’s memory will be cherished by her husband of 61 years, James Ronald Blevins, and her three children: James (Randy) Blevins (Charleston, WV), Michael Blevins (Sedona, AZ), and Pamela Miller (Poquoson, VA). She will also be remembered by her five grandchildren: Alyssa, Arden, Anneliese, Lily, and Joshua; and by her surviving brother, Jim Pritt, nieces, nephews, other in-laws, friends, and hundreds of students whom she taught throughout her career.
There will be no public service.
