Linda D. Shaw
July 18, 1944 - December 25, 2022

Linda Darlene Shaw of Newport News went to her heavenly home on December 25, 2022. She was born July 18, 1944 in Essex, MD. She is survived by her two children; Patti (Ed) Correa and Joe (Deb) Roy; sisters Carol (Frank) Jarboe and Gayle Taylor; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She retired after nearly 20 years with the U.S. Government at Fort Meade, MD. She enjoyed beading, making jewelry, sewing, Women’s Bible studies and serving in the mission field in the Philippines.  A woman of strong faith who loved the Lord, her family and friends. She will be dearly missed and will remain in our hearts until we meet again.

Linda’s family would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Personal Touch Hospice, Riverside Regional Hospital Palliative Care and the care team at Hospice House of Williamsburg for their wonderful care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, family and friends can donate to the Hospice House of Williamsburg, 4445 Powhatan Parkway, Williamsburg, VA 23188 or at williamsburghospice.org.

Arrangements are under the care of the Cremation Society of Virginia. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
