In loving memory of William Lee Kearns Sr. 76 who passed away peacefully on 3-1-23, surrounded by his loved ones.  He was predeceased by his mother, Mildred L. Vaughan; his father, Harry H. Kearns; his son, William Lee Kearns, Jr.; his sisters, Geraldine Lawson, Vicki Vaughan Ruest, Sally Crosby; and brothers, Johnny and Johnie Lawson.  He is survived by his longtime girlfriend, Sherry Holland; his daughter, Shannon Moore and husband Kevin Marchal; stepdaughter, Lynne Marchal and husband Andy; stepson, Jim Routten and wife Leslie; stepson, Raymond Etheridge and wife Misty; stepson, David Etheridge; stepdaughter, Shirley Etheridge; his brothers, Earl C. Vaughan and wife Deanna, and Woodrow Vaughan and wife Debbie; his grandchildren, Heather English and husband Taylor, Samantha Moore, William L. Kearns, III and wife Ashten, Alexis Kearns, Aleigha Lane and husband Jordan, Ashley Kearns, Morgan Kearns, Jordan Kearns, Jesse Harrison, Nick Spires, Thomas Sain, Nevaeh and Robert Zimmerman, Raymond Etheridge, III, Brooklyn Etheridge, Landon Etheridge and Katelyn Bellamy.  He had 19 great grandchildren.

Bill worked for Peninsula Painting for over 30 years.  He was fortunate to work with his lifelong best friends, Ryan Gary and Tommy Shively.  Bill was a small business owner for 18 years.  He was owner of B&S Painting.  He took pride in his work which showed to all his customers.  His son Billy and grandsons William, Morgan and Jordan would often help him paint over the years.  He was a longtime member of HOG.  His passion was motorcycles, tattoos and hotrods.  He also enjoyed collecting antiques, guns, knives and coins.  He will be loved and missed by many.

There will be a celebration of his life at 2pm on Sunday March 12, at Hilton Baptist Church 101 Main St.  Newport News, VA 23601.
