David Austin May, 67, of Saluda, VA lost his battle with chronic lung disease on Sunday, April 16th 2023. Dave, also known as MayDay, born December 6th, 1955 is preceded in death by his parents, Richard Anthony and Gloria (Pierce) May; sister, Kathleen Robibero; and brother, Richard May. Survivors include son, David Austin May Jr. and wife Christal Marie May; daughter, Jennifer Lynn May; brothers, Mark May and wife Denise, Michael May and wife Lori, and Anthony May.

Anyone who knew him, knew that he was the kind of person who would help anyone in need! Some of the amazing accomplishments of this big-hearted man was helping bring rice, water and shoes to many villages in the Philippines . He also provided funds to build a community center that is shared by many of those villages. As one of the founding members of the Iron Skullz MC, he also helped raise money for the Parkway Murder Victims fund, the Boys and Girls Club and many other great causes year after year. His story-telling, humor and karaoke performances were legendary.

Celebration of life will be held May 6th 12:00pm at the Damon & Company Pavillion. The Iron Skullz MC will be having a ride in his honor before the celebration of life and all are welcome to participate. Departure from Damon’s at 9:00 AM and return at 11:30am.
