Caitlin Amber Blaufus passed away peacefully on Friday, May 5, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

Caitlin lived her life to the fullest despite the many challenges she faced from birth due to a congenital heart defect. She shared an enormous passion for music, singing, and songwriting with her identical twin sister Adriane. She loved spending time with her friends and family and made many beautiful memories with her devoted husband Ryan.

She is survived by her husband Ryan Blaufus, stepson Justin Blaufus, twin sister Adriane Nimmo and husband Ray, father Ronald Sears and wife Hollie, grandparents Darryl and Bonnie Sears, and cat Kiara (Beydooze).

She is predeceased by her grandfather Walter R. Munden whom she loved so very much.

Her family is grateful for every doctor and nurse who cared for her starting at CHKD, especially her cardiologist Dr. Alexander Ellis.

She will continue to be an inspiration for those who have known her. To respect her wishes, there will be a private family service to honor and celebrate her life. Contributions can be made to the Children’s Hospital Of The King’s Daughters Cardiology Department.

I am so sorry to hear of Caitlin's passing. She had the biggest heart and was one of the most caring people I have ever met. May she rest in peace and sing in Heaven.

Bonnie and family: Danny and I were shocked and so very saddened by dear Caitlin’s passing. Please accept our deepest condolences. Bonnie Sears is a dear friend and she raised Caitlin and her twin Adriane lovingly since they were precious babies. I watched them grow and thrive and turn into confident, lovely, talented, thoughtful, sweet young ladies. They were also strong and upstanding as well. Caitlin and Adriane were the kind of girls you would want watching your kids or grandparents. I can’t imagine the pain of losing a person like Caitlin. She touched so many people with her music and her kindness. Just a few weeks ago we were crafting with Bonnie and she taught me how to make a paper purse. It was so fun being around her. She made me laugh with her observations of the world. There are so many memories with the families that I hope you share them and bring comfort to one another. She was taken too soon.
