Steven Chambers passed away on May 6, 2023, at the age of 64 years. He was at his home in Gloucester, Virginia, and surrounded by the love of his family. Steve was born and raised in New Hope, North Carolina. In 1986, he married Rae and was thrilled to become a father to Bain and Ann. He took pride in being an elevator technician and worked happily with many friends for Delaware Elevator, Inc., until his health issues forced an early retirement.

Whether it was American adventure, science fiction, espionage, or a murder mystery, Steve loved a good book. He was passionate about fishing and working with his tractor and he delighted in sharing these passions with first Hannah, then Dylan and Mason. From his birth until his passing, Steve dearly enjoyed time spent with his family and friends. He lived by the motto: You only die once, but you live every day.

As per his wishes, no funeral service is planned. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.
