Ronald Surgeoner passed away peacefully on Monday, May 15, 2023 in Chesapeake, VA. Ronald was born on February 4, 1937 to Robert and Emily (Reiff) Surgeoner.

Ron retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard and Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base as a machinist. He loved watching the Philadelphia Phillies and the Eagles. He also liked to go fishing when he could.

Ronald was predeceased by his loving wife of 53 years, Margaret A. (Hall) Surgeoner. He is survived by two daughters: Cynthia A. Janiszewski and her husband, David, and Noreen L. Nowinowski and her husband, Chris; a son, Ronald H. Surgeoner, and his wife, Mary; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 2, 2023 at Albert G. Horton Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
