Patricia A. Lengyel passed away peacefully with her children by her side at the age of 92 on October 23, 2023 in Virginia Beach, Va. Patricia was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all.

Patricia was born in New Canaan, CT on December 3, 1930 to parents Christopher and Cathleen Dillon. On May 19th, 1951 she wed the love of her life, Robert Lengyel, and later moved to Norwalk, CT where their children Robert and Karen were born and raised.

Patricia could effortlessly light up a room with her warm and cheerful spirit, and had the unique ability to make anyone in her presence feel loved and welcomed. Though soft spoken, Patricia’s timeless elegance, exuberance and quick wit made a lasting impression on all who met her. Her fierce resilience, kindness and ability to always see the best in people made her truly one of a kind. And, her love for the sound of church bells, the perfect shade of pink lipstick and her pearls will never be forgotten.

Above all, Patricia loved her family and was dedicated to her faith. As the matriarch of three generations, Patricia instilled in her family the value of unwavering love, hard work, strength and loyalty.

Patricia will be deeply missed and is survived by her devoted children, Karen (Lengyel) Spiegel and Robert Lengyel Jr and their spouses Mark and MaryEllen, her brother William Dillion and her loving grand and great-grandchildren.

A remarkable life led by a remarkable woman, words cannot express the love and joy you have bestowed upon our family and so many others. Patricia, to know you is to love you. With the deepest of gratitude and admiration, thank you for being you.
