Audrey Fisher McIntire, 84, of Virginia Beach, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023.

Born February 14, 1939, in Princess Anne County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Wallace Ray Fisher and Edith (Bartee) Fisher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Lanier and Stanley Fisher, sister Barbara G. Malbone and former husband Pat McIntire.

Audrey worked for the City of Virginia Beach and retired after 25 years in 2003. She spent her time enjoying her grandchildren, and later, her great grandchildren.  She always made sure Wednesdays were free for her weekly lunches with her son Joe. That was the highlight of her week. She had a passion for cats, gambling and chatting on the phone. She enjoyed yearly trips to Casinos with her grandchildren and could often be found at the Courthouse Harris Teeter purchasing lottery tickets. She was grateful for the employees and the friendships she made there. They always treated her with such kindness.

Left to cherish her memory are her son Joseph P. McIntire (Gary) of Portsmouth; daughters, Mary M. Coolbaugh (Jess) of Chesapeake; Tina M. Shields (Scott) of Virginia Beach; grandchildren Ryan Coolbaugh (Brittany); Trevor Shields; Kyle Coolbaugh (Chris); Gabrielle Shields; Kacie Daniels (Dustin) and great-granddaughters Josie, Emerson and Mayson and great-grandson Tucker.
