With heavy hearts, we announce on April 18, 2024 the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother Patricia C. Dewitt in Hampton, VA. Patricia was born on 1/11/42 in Johnstown, PA to Roy and Minnie Bunn. Preceded in death by father, mother, and sister-in-law, Shirley Bunn. Survived by daughter, Kathy Killian (Kenny), daughter Carole Dorchak (Ron), son Thomas Makar (Jennifer), grandchildren, Nathan Makar (Emily), Rachel Dorchak, Matthew Dorchak (Brianna), Michael Dorchak (Cassandra), Amy Makar, great-grandchildren, Fox, Euan, and Landon, brothers Terry Bunn and Ned Bunn (Faith). Special childhood friends that she knew since elementary school: Patricia McIlwain and Patricia Rice, special friends who were family in Hampton, VA: Dava, Logan and Cliff Kauffman, Kim and David Seay and Peggie Brooks. Patricia loved life and people, she loved to talk, shop, and collect items. She liked spending time gardening, caring for her pets, going to the casino, and spending time with family and friends on many memorable visits and vacations. She worked at AAA, NASA, and H&R Block doing taxes even into retirement. Special thanks to Personal Touch Hospice especially Sherri and Kelly who took very good care of her for the past year. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to ASPCA or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

I wrote before and did leave off 1 letter and add a extra ON ANOTHER so sorry BUT I told my brother TRACY H that i had left a message and he said LET everyone know that he sends prayers for all as she was so nice and kind to him also..SHE was my sisters best friend for years...and WILL BE MISSED.......

She was such a beautiful woman inside and out. Met her thru my sister Peggy and I was treated with love and kindness from day ONE...i HAD JUST talked to her a few month ago and she sounded so strong and did n0ot let being sick get her down..I will NEVER forget her and the good times I SHARED with her....GOD BLESS ALL her family and friends...ALWAYS....

The world has lost a wonderful lady. I met Ms. Pat about 20 years ago when I started working at H&R Block. She and I ran the office together. I will never forget the fun we had on a managers trip to Atlantic City. We spent half the time playing penny slots and the rest enjoying the Christmas decorations. I have missed working with her and am so sorry your family has lost such a precious gem.

Pat was full of love. She was kind and loving. Becoming grandmothers of Amy together was so fun. She loved to share family stories and that made getting to know and love her easy! She is already greatly missed!
