Frankee S. Miller died peacefully on July 8, 2024, surrounded by her family.  She was born in Norfolk, Va. to parents Virginia Prentiss and Walter Lee Shawn on July 27, 1944, and attended Granby High School.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Virginia Rae Harmon, brother Cleo F. Shawn, her husband, John E. Miller and granddaughter, Madelyn Grace Miller.

Frankee is survived by her sons Brian D. Miller (Lisa), Cary L. Miller, and M. Heath Miller, grandson, Evan Miller (Sayde) and her sister, Barbara S. Everett (Hardy).

Frankee worked at Norfolk Fire Department Federal Credit Union 35 years.  She knew all the Norfolk firefighters and they all held a special place in her heart.  She enjoyed organizing the Norfolk Firefighters Retiree luncheons and other events.  She also loved to travel, especially to Lancaster, Pennsylvania to admire the Amish culture.

She was a member of Unity Freewill Baptist Church in Chesapeake, Va.

A memorial service will be held on July 18, 2024. The family will receive visitors starting at 2pm and the memorial service will start at 3pm. Service to be held at Unity Freewill Baptist Church at 360 Hickory Rd E.  Chesapeake, VA 23320.
