Loreata worked for14 years with my husband Jeff at Northern Illinois University. She was a good friend to him. When she found out that he had died at a young age, she wrote me a letter and said, "It felt like my heart had died when I found out." She was a caring person. I had been thinking about her a lot in the last few months, and asked another former coworker if he had her address. I just now thought to try a search again and found this. I am very sadened. I regret that I didn't try harder to find her, so I could reply to the letter she sent me after my husband died. I could not respond at the time, which I felt bad about. I hope and pray she is at peace now, and I know she is missed by those who knew her.
