Nathaniel Roger Reed Jr. passed away Thursday, August 1, 2024 in Chesapeake, Virginia.  Roger was born November 20, 1948 to Nate and Dorothy Reed in Springfield, Massachusetts where his family then relocated to Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Roger is predeceased by his parents, Nate and Dorothy Reed.

Roger retired after 42 years at the NAS Oceana Fuel Department.  He leaves behind his wife of over 55 years Patricia Reed, his son Nathaniel Roger Reed III (Sheri), his grandson Alex Coyner (Brooke) and great grandson Cayce Reed.  He also leaves behind his brother Randy Reed (Jeanne), niece Rachel and many other family members and loved ones.  Roger loved to cook, travel with Patricia, watch the Miami Dolphins when they were winning and most importantly spend time with his family.

A celebration of life will be planned at a future date.  Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
