Ronald Lee Farrenkopf, 75, of Chesapeake, VA, passed away on August 17, 2024, after a brief illness, with his loving wife by his side. Born on December 26, 1948, to Shirley and Linwood Farrenkopf. Ronnie graduated from Great Bridge High School in 1966.
Following graduation, Ronnie pursued his passion for driving as a long-distance trucker for various companies across Virginia. A devoted sports fan, he spent his time off watching NASCAR races and cheering for his beloved Washington Redskins. Ronnie also cherished moments with family and friends, always delighting them with his engaging stories.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Beth; his daughter Amy (Tommy), who was always his “daddy’s little girl”; and his two grandchildren, Austin and Anna. Ronnie is also survived by a very special nephew, Joey Sierra (Chasity), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
A celebration of his life will be held on September 8th from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of Eagles #795 in Chesapeake, VA. In the words of Ronnie, “Hammer Down, Baby.”
