Keith Krause of Virginia Beach passed away Monday, August 26, 2024, following an extended illness. His family was with him for their final goodbyes. Keith was a loving husband to his wife Kelly, devoted father to daughter Hailey and son Ben, and dedicated grandfather to Greyson and Carter.
He grew up in Easton, Pennsylvania and was a lifelong fan of the Philadelphia Phillies. He spent time with relatives in Rochester, New York and became a follower of Syracuse University basketball. He was an enthusiastic supporter of his son Ben’s baseball career and his Team Costal Marlins travel baseball team. Keith also enjoyed spending time with Hailey and his grandsons.
He was a graduate of Shippensburg State College where he was a member of the baseball team. He was talented in many occupational endeavors and spent time working for various signage companies and the Virginia Zoo. Most recently he served as facilities manager for Zim Integrated Shipping.
He is survived by his wife Kelly, daughter Hailey and her companion Tyler Hale, son Benjamin and grandsons Greyson and Carter. Also, his parents Dennis and Pamela Krause, sister Denise Goss, uncle and aunt Bill and Connie Markley, and aunt Janet Markley Effelson. In addition, father and mother-in-law, Phil and Emmilou Stewart, brother and sister-in-law Philip and Tara Stewart, uncle George Roadman, uncle and aunt John and Doreen Roadman, as well as numerous, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A service will be held at another time and a memorial scholarship is being created with details coming soon.
