Timm Westby, 57, passed away on April 26, 2025. Known for his dry sense of humor, love of comics, and unwavering loyalty to the Miami Dolphins, Timm lived life on his own terms and was often lovingly accused of being “extra”.
Born on August 28, 1967, Timm was a lifelong fan of superheroes and reality TV. He had an impressive collection of sports cards, a deep well of superhero trivia, and no shortage of strong opinions on the Marvel vs. DC debate. Sundays were often reserved for Dolphins games—win or lose, usually lose—and he stuck with the team no matter the record. Timm’s dog, Bane, a loving malamute, was his constant companion. The two of them were rarely apart, and anyone who knew Timm knew Bane was going to come up in conversation sooner or later.
While Timm liked his routines and kept a low profile, he had a soft spot for his nieces and nephews. He was very proud of them and genuinely enjoyed spending time with them—sharing jokes, watching movies, or just hanging out. They’ll remember him for his support and always making them feel loved.
Timm is survived by his sisters, Patty Westby & Theresa Romanelli, his sister-in-law Jami Westby, his nieces and nephews; Ellen Westby, Alyssa Harney (Tyler & Kennedy), CJ Romanelli, Brian S. Westby, Holly Romanelli, Harper Westby, and Taylor Westby, and other beloved family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Westby and Barbara Westby, and brother, Brian Westby.
In his memory, watch a competition TV show, root for your favorite sports team, or take your dog for a long walk. Timm would’ve approved.
