Chesapeake, VA – Constance Evangelista Hagermann, born on November 27, 1933, in New York, passed away peacefully in Chesapeake, VA on June 29, 2025, at the age of 91. Connie resided with her granddaughter, Katherine Neuman and her family. Connie was the sweetest person and had the most caring soul known to man.
Connie enjoyed having children around her house and played a large role in helping to raise many of her nieces and nephews when she was younger. During her later years, she gained employment caring for the children of Mr. and Mrs. Ventura. That developed into a lifelong friendship that never ceased existence. She also enjoyed her musical records, teatime with Frankie and photography. If it happened, Connie had the picture taken to prove it!
Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Hagermann, whom she married on March 17, 1974, as well as her parents, Giuseppe “Joseph” Evangelista and Concetta “Constance” Cutrone Evangelista, her sisters Patricia “Patty”, Claire “Dolly”, her brothers, Patrick and Joseph, her daughter—Kathleen Otto and her grandson, Charles Henry Otto. Surviving are three sisters, Gladys, Joan and Maryann. Her family and friends will forever cherish the countless memories they made together.
Private family services will be held per Connie’s wishes.
