Linda S. Whittaker, born on February 18, 1949, in Bristol, England, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2025, in Chesapeake, VA, just shy of her 76th birthday.
Linda was a devoted homemaker, finding her greatest joy in her family. She cherished her role as a mother and grandmother, always placing her children and granddaughter above all else. Her nurturing spirit was the cornerstone of her family’s life.
She received her education at Henbury High School, where she graduated with five O’ Levels and seven C.S.E’s. Linda was a lifelong member of the Anglican Church, which guided her throughout her journey.
A pillar of her community, Linda generously gave her time to volunteer with the Lions for many years and was an active member of the Chesapeake New Comers. Her warmth and kindness left lasting impressions on all who knew her.
Linda is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Arthur and Violet Goodfield. She is survived by her son, Robin, and his wife, Corine; her daughter, Melanie, and her husband, Wouter; and her treasured granddaughter, Fae-Rose, along with numerous friends who mourn her passing.
A service celebrating her life was held at the Cottages in Chesapeake on her birthday, February 18, 2025, honoring both her memory and the joy she brought into the world.
Linda will be remembered for her unwavering love, dedication to her family, and her gentle, giving nature. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion and devotion that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
