Nancy Adina Pratt, a devoted and loving soul, passed away peacefully at the age of 84 on June 29, 2025, in her hometown of Chesapeake, Virginia. Born on June 24, 1941, in Chesapeake, Nancy spent her life dedicated to the family she cherished so deeply.
As a homemaker, Nancy made it her life’s mission to nurture and care for her family with unwavering love and compassion. Her home was a haven filled with warmth, laughter, and the comforting presence of her steadfast faith. Nancy’s commitment to her loved ones and her deep spirituality defined her purpose and brought light into the lives of those around her.
Her faith in the Lord was her guiding star, and she found solace and strength in her daily readings of the Bible. Nancy’s spiritual devotion inspired all who knew her, as she lived each day with grace, kindness, and an unshakeable belief that radiated from her very being.
Preceded in death by her parents, Lincoln Henry and Clyde Cora Pratt Moffitt; her beloved sons, Garnett and Brent; and her siblings, Norman, Bud, Sis, Marvin, Dickie, Josie, and Linky, Nancy now rests in eternal peace, reunited with those she held dear.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories, survived by her sons Rick and his wife, Dana, and Jed and his husband, Dale; her adoring grandchildren Nathan, Ben, Amy, Devin, Brody and Lara; and her precious great-grandchildren Logan, Natalie, and Gemma, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Nancy’s life was a testament to the power of love and faith. Though her presence will be deeply missed, the values she instilled and the memories she created will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
In keeping with her wishes, services are private. As we celebrate Nancy’s life, we honor a remarkable woman whose spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us all.
