Stella Kay Tuttle, born on December 3, 1966, in Salisbury, Maryland, passed away peacefully at the age of 58 on June 23, 2025, in Chesapeake, Virginia. Stella was a beacon of love and resilience, whose life was a testament to strength, hard work, and devotion to family.
Stella’s journey began with her roots in Salisbury, where she grew up with her loving family. Stella embodied the spirit of adventure and perseverance. She took great pride in her work, starting her career in maid services and eventually building her own successful cleaning service. Stella’s dedication to her work was matched only by her fierce love for her family and friends.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her cherished husband, David, and her family, sharing laughter and creating memories that would last a lifetime. Stella’s enduring positivity and determination were especially evident as she bravely fought off a brain tumor, inspiring all who knew her with her courage and grace.
Stella is preceded in death by her loving parents, Robert A. Hicks, Jr. and Shirley Baker Hicks. Stella is cherished in memory by her daughter, April; her dear sisters, Julie, Lisa, Barbara, Shirley and her two brothers, Douglas and Harley; three grandchildren, one great grandchild along with countless friends and loved ones who will forever hold her in their hearts.
In honoring Stella’s wishes, services are private.
