Shauntae Joy Johnson, aged 38 years young, has decided to embark on her next great adventure, leaving behind a world that was brighter because of her. Born in Utah, she managed to make her way to Newport News, Virginia, where she continued to spread joy until her final day.
Shauntae was the quintessential Domestic Goddess, a title she wore with pride and a touch of humor. Her talents were many, but her greatest role was being a loving mother to her son, Elijah Lucius Luciani, who was the apple of her eye and the keeper of her heart.
Her life was a symphony of music, concerts, and the great outdoors. Whether she was kayaking, fishing, or simply enjoying the sun at the beach, Shauntae lived every moment with zest. Her garden was a testament to her nurturing spirit, and her travels were filled with stories that she shared with friends and family.
Shauntae’s laughter was infectious, and her ability to bring people together was unmatched. She cherished her time surrounded by family and friends, and her home was always open to those she loved.
She is preceded in her journey by her father, Shaun Johnson. Those left to celebrate her legacy include her beloved son Elijah; her mother, Tracie Duggar and her husband, Kenny; her step father, Melford King, III; her brothers, Jordan Adamson and his wife Brittany, and Melford King IV and his wife Payton; her life partner, Justin Bieder; her grandparents; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins, and dear friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 3, 2025, at Huntington Park, located at 361 Hornet Circle, Newport News, VA 23607, from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm. All who knew and loved Shauntae are welcome to join in remembering her vibrant spirit and the joy she brought into our lives.
