Windsor, VA  –  Thomas “Tommy” Parrish Jones, born on September 5, 1963, in Suffolk, Virginia, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025, in Windsor, Virginia, at the age of 61.

Tommy was a beloved son, brother, and friend who touched the lives of many with his warm spirit and gentle heart. Though he faced challenges in life, he found joy and solace in his passions. A devoted fan of NASCAR and football, Tommy cheered fervently for Dale Earnhardt, the San Francisco 49ers, and the Ohio State Buckeyes. His enthusiasm for these sports brought him great happiness and camaraderie with fellow fans.

Preceded in death by his parents, David Shaw and Mary Elizabeth Everett Strothers, as well as Allen Strothers, who lovingly fathered and raised him, and his sister, Sharon Jones, Tommy is now reunited with them in eternal peace.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his dear Aunt Brenda Babb of Suffolk, Virginia, along with several cousins, nieces, and nephews who will forever hold him close in their hearts.

A celebration of Tommy’s life will be held Saturday, July 19th at the residence of his cousin, Michelle Chavis, 7541 Indian Trail, Suffolk, VA. from 2pm-5pm.  All are welcome to share memories and reminisce about a sweet soul.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Windsor Grove Nursing and Rehab for the compassionate care and kindness that Tommy received during his time there. Their support provided comfort and dignity in his final days.

Tommy will be remembered for his kind nature, his love for sports, and the joy he brought to those around him. May he rest in peace.
