Sarah Cook, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2025, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, at the age of 73. Born on April 7, 1952, in the County of Kerry, Ireland, Sarah brought the warmth and charm of her homeland to everyone she met.
A devoted homemaker, Sarah found immense joy in nurturing her family and creating a home filled with love and laughter. She loved family gatherings and was always the life of the party and the last one standing. Her kitchen was the heart of her home, where she delighted in cooking and feeding not only her family but also friends and neighbors, ensuring no one ever left hungry. She also enjoyed solving word puzzles and the thrill of discovering hidden treasures while thrift shopping. Her zest for life and her generous spirit touched all who knew her.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 35 years, Cliff Roberts; her children: Maria Cook (Nicholas Venezia), Brian Cook, Shannon Cook (Dustin Dunn), and Heather Roberts (Chase Sutton); her step-daughters, Andrea McDonough and Amanda Reeves (Johnathan); her grandchildren whom she adored: Chase Redland, Kaylee Loper, Liam Dunn, Colby Sutton, Blake Reeves, Ahsta Reeves, and another grandson on the way; as well as a large extended family and many friends who will miss her dearly.
A celebration of Sarah’s life is being planned for a later date, where stories will be shared, laughter will echo, and her memory will be honored in true Irish spirit.
