Keith Cameron Potter, a devoted family man and dedicated professional, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2025, in Chesapeake, Virginia, at the age of 95. Born on August 6, 1930, in San Diego, California, Keith lived a life marked by service, love, and commitment.
Keith proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Air Force, a chapter in his life that instilled in him a sense of duty and honor. Following his time in the service, he embarked on a distinguished career as an Electrical Engineer with General Electric, where his expertise and dedication left a lasting impact.
Above all, Keith cherished the time he spent with his family and friends, finding joy in their company and creating countless cherished memories. His marriage to his beloved wife Kathleen P. Potter spanned an extraordinary 72 years, reflecting a partnership built on unwavering love and mutual respect.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Dora Potter; his wife, Kathleen; his beloved son, Keith C. Potter, Jr., and his son-in-law, Terry Riley. His legacy of love and strength continues through those he leaves behind. He is survived by his loving daughter, Paula Riley, and his cherished granddaughter, Erin Babcock; his great-grandsons, Logan and Henry, along with Erin’s husband, Robert, will carry forward the values and principles Keith so dearly held.
Services for Keith will be private, with a burial at Eastern Shore Cemetery in Virginia Beach. During this difficult time, the family invites friends and loved ones to post their fondest condolences on the Cremation Society of Virginia website.
