Mamie Michelle Smith, born on June 1, 1973, in Newport News, Virginia, peacefully passed away at the age of 52 on October 29, 2025, in Newport News.

Mamie spent the majority of her life in Williamsburg, Virginia, where she cultivated a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life. Her love for fishing brought her tranquility by the water’s edge, while evenings spent playing cards with family and friends were filled with laughter and camaraderie. Mamie’s passion for target practice demonstrated her keen attention to precision and detail, while her interest in cars revealed her admiration for engineering and craftsmanship.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Christopher Smith, and her father, Clarence S. Smith, Sr. Mamie leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory: her devoted mother, Esther Juanita Bristow, and her brother, Clarence S. Smith, Jr.

In accordance with her family’s wishes, services will be private as they gather to honor the life and legacy of a remarkable woman who touched the hearts of those around her. Mamie’s gentle spirit and the warmth of her friendship will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
