Meg was a great friend from my college days at Westhampton College ( now University of Richmond). In those days, Westhampton was the all-female part of University of Richmond. Our priority in those days was to have fun and not take the very strict rules of the school very seriously. Meg was often seen in the Tower Room playing bridge and sharing good stories with friends. Many times those stories included tales of Meg's escapades with Eddie who later became her devoted husband. For a while, Meg worked as a nurse for my husband. In the office she always called him "Dr. Bates", but in her personal life he was Robin. They had many hilarious and interesting times working together, but she was always a top notch nurse. Meg's optimistic views and sense of humor were such a wonderful trait. While life circumstances ( jobs, children, location, responsibilities) kept us from seeing each other as much as we would have liked, our friendship was always the same. No matter how much time passed, we could always pick up right where we left off and share fond and funny memories. Meg will be greatly missed by anyone who was lucky enough to know her! May she rest in peace.

She was such a fun lady. We had some great conversations. Her son Wells married my daughter and we had an immediate connection. I know she will be greatly missed.
