Charles Keith Jarvis, a lifelong resident of Norfolk, Virginia, passed away peacefully at his home on December 18, 2025, at the age of 65. He was born on October 29, 1960, in Norfolk, Virginia, to his beloved parents, James Keith and Dello Jo Jarvis, who preceded him in death.
Charles dedicated over 30 years of his life working as a convenience store clerk, where he was known for his friendly demeanor and unwavering work ethic. A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Charles carried the values of service and loyalty from his military days into every aspect of his life.
An avid supporter of the Washington Redskins, now known as the Washington Commanders, Charles rarely missed a game. He also found joy in playing Bingo Bash on his phone and was a devoted fan of old war movies, finding solace and nostalgia in their stories.
Charles’s life was enriched by the company of family and friends, including his cherished niece, Teresa Shank, who provided devoted care and companionship during the last few years of his life. He is also survived by his cousins, Joe Hutchison and Suzen Hutchison McCann; great-nephews, John and Chris Baker; great-niece, Nicole Baker, along with other significant family members and friends.
Services for Charles will be held privately, honoring his wishes for a quiet remembrance. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Teresa for her love and dedication, making Charles a priority in her life and ensuring his comfort and dignity.
