Brian Joseph Wilson, born on September 10, 1966, in Manhattan, New York, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026, in Newport News, Virginia, at the age of 59.
Brian was a dedicated and skilled machinist at the Newport News Shipyard, where he worked diligently for many years. His commitment to his craft and his colleagues was evident in all that he did. Beyond his professional life, Brian found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid fisherman who cherished the tranquility of the water, a passionate football fan who never missed a game, and most importantly, a devoted family man who treasured every moment spent with his children and grandchildren.
A graduate of Menchville High School, Brian carried the values of hard work and integrity throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Wilson, whose memory he held dear.
Brian leaves behind a loving family who will miss him deeply. He is survived by his sons, Colin Wilson and Chase Wilson; his daughter, Olivia Loveland, and her husband, Devin; and his cherished grandchildren, Leona Loveland and Milo Wilson. He is also survived by his parents, Charles and Kathryn Wilson, his sister, Shannon Wilson, and his partner, Jennifer Hesson. Brian’s extended family includes his sister-in-law, Mary Reed, and brother-in-law, Aaron Reed, along with nieces Casey Reed, Colby Reed, Elizabeth Pruden, and Ellen Crist. He will also be fondly remembered by his brother-in-law, Jay Pruden, and sister-in-law, Kim Pruden.
Brian’s legacy of love, laughter, and dedication will continue to inspire those who knew him. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
