Angelika Gisela Bolt, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026, in Newport News, Virginia, at the age of 85. Born on September 20, 1940, in Breslau, Germany, Angelika lived a life full of love, dedication, and adventure.
Angelika was the cherished daughter of the late Helmut and Charlotte Tusche and the beloved sister of the late Roger Tusche. She is survived by her devoted husband, Barry Bolt, with whom she shared many wonderful years of marriage. Angelika was the proud mother of two sons, Tim and Chris Bolt, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. She also leaves behind her dear sister, Evie Burger, three adored grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A woman of remarkable energy and passion, Angelika enjoyed a successful career as a real estate agent, working diligently until the age of 80. Her professional life was marked by integrity and a genuine commitment to helping others find their dream homes.
Beyond her career, Angelika was an avid golfer and swimmer, finding joy in the great outdoors and the company of friends. Her love for gardening was evident in the beautiful blooms that adorned her home, and her active participation in the Garden Club and Candlewood Women’s Club brought her much happiness and camaraderie.
Angelika’s adventurous spirit led her to travel extensively, with Ireland and Hawaii holding special places in her heart. She relished the opportunity to explore new places and cultures, always returning with stories and memories that enriched her life and those around her.
Angelika’s educational achievements included earning a Bachelor’s Degree, which she pursued with the same determination and enthusiasm that characterized all her endeavors.
A private graveside service to honor and celebrate Angelika’s life will be held at a later date in Tennessee. Her family and friends will gather to remember a remarkable woman whose legacy of love, kindness, and strength will continue to inspire all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of choice in Angelika’s memory. Her generous spirit and unwavering dedication to her loved ones will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
