Ronald Andrew Rollick, born on October 10, 1935, in Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully in Virginia on February 8, 2026, at the age of 90. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Ronald lived a life marked by adventure, service, and innovation, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
Ronald’s professional journey was one of remarkable achievement and dedication. As a Government Contractor with NavAir, he reached the esteemed position of GS-14 before his retirement. His work contributed significantly to groundbreaking projects, including helping to build a sky satellite displayed at the Air and Space Museum and the development of the reconnaissance plane known as the E-2 Hawkeye. Ronald’s passion for aviation and technology was matched only by his commitment to excellence in every endeavor he undertook.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Ronald was a man of many interests. He had a profound love for fishing, finding peace and joy in the tranquil waters where he could often be found. However, it was on the streets that Ronald truly earned his legendary status as the original street car racing enthusiast. Known for daring races in front of the Pentagon, he became a pioneer in the world of street racing, inspiring a generation of car enthusiasts with his fearless spirit and passion for speed.
Ronald was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Ambrose and Marie Rollick, and his cherished wife of over 50 years, Patricia Catherine Rollick. Together, Ronald and Patricia built a loving family, and their legacy continues through their children: Robert, Richard, Philip, and Judith. He was a proud grandfather to David, Rebecca, Ashley, Brandon, Nathan, and Sarah, and a doting great-grandfather to three wonderful great-grandchildren.
