William Ashburn of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away peacefully on February 25th, 2026.

He was predeceased by his parents, William Ashburn Sr. And Lillie Mae Ashburn. He lived a simple and quiet life serving the public and surrounded by family that loved him whether he liked it or not.

Known for his calm presence and staying close to home throughout his life, William will be missed and remembered by his family who held a special place in his heart. Leaving behind his brothers Floyd, Alvin and Henry and his sister Delores Boyd who will miss him deeply along with other relatives and loved ones who will cherish his memory in his community.

William was a man of quiet strength. Who enjoyed sci-fi movies and hanging out with coworkers. Though he lived simply, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
