William Warren Tuten, Jr., a husband, father, grandfather, brother, cousin, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026, in his hometown of Newport News, Virginia. He was born on July 12, 1955, in Newport News.
At the age of 70, William leaves behind a legacy of hard work and cherished memories. He graduated from Bethel High School, where he laid the foundation for a fulfilling career. William dedicated many years as an office machinery mechanic at Canon, where he was respected and admired for his expertise and commitment, before enjoying a well-deserved retirement.
William had a deep love for the outdoors, often spending his free time fishing and bike riding. These activities brought him great joy and tranquility, allowing him to connect with nature and share special moments with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William Warren Tuten Sr. and Eunice Beach Tuten. William is survived by his devoted wife, Michele Tuten. He also leaves behind his beautiful children, Jessica, Jason, and Jennifer. He was very proud of his grandchildren, Chase, Evan, Blake, Ella, and Noah.
William is also survived by his sister, Dianne Tuten Schlaefer, his cousin Delma, and his special friend Stevie, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
In accordance with his wishes, a private family ceremony will be held to honor William’s life and legacy. His family finds comfort in knowing that he is now at peace, reunited with those who have gone before him.
William will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
